THIS IS BEING RESENT AS THE ORIGINAL LINK DID NOT WORK
As part of a potential NYS DOH Workforce Development grant application, Easter Seals NY and the Wegmans School of Nursing at St. John Fisher College are assessing the need for a continuing education certificate program with a focus on behavioral health integration.
This primarily online program would prepare non-behavioral health nurses (RNs and APRNs) and social workers (BSWs and MSWs) in Rochester and surrounding counties (Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates counties) with increased competencies in assessing and addressing co-occurring mental health, substance use, and developmental disorders in a variety of clinical settings. While this training would not substitute for qualified Behavioral Health specialists, the intent is to decrease need for specialty referrals, and increase the ability of staff to implement recommendations provided by a behavioral health consultant when needed.

Below is a link to a survey whose purpose is to determine the interest/need for additional behavioral health training, and likelihood that your staff would participate in this training.
I would appreciate your sending this link to primary care, pediatric, and other interprofessional practices sites, as well as inpatient and LTC facilities with which  you may be familiar. Also, we encourage your recipients to  forward this email and link to the survey on to others who might be interested in this topic.
THIS IS A TIME SENSITIVE SURVEY, so please forward this email and link as soon as possible, as we are hoping to get responses by June 8th.
Thank you so much for your assistance! If you have any questions, please feel free to call Lora Winghart at the Easter Seals Rochester, NY clinic: 585-957-9233.

Sincerely,
