…those who devote time and energy to fulfilling the responsibilities of committee work are the unsung heroes of membership.  Literally they are the backbone of our Association…It is at the committee level where much of the initial planning, thinking through of a problem is done so that finally recommendations may be presented to the Board of Directors for decision and a final course of action decided upon…A committee member may be unsung or even misunderstood, but a member of a committee is never to be underestimated---responsible committee members are the basis for our future progress.
