Would you like to be a nurse representative on the Monroe County Board of Health?

There may be a position available for a registered nurse on the BOH.  If you are interested, please let GVNA know by submitting your name to our Gmail account at gvnassociation@gmail.com  Include only a few sentences on your background why you might be interested.  Deadline is Monday 11/29 at 5 pm.  FYI- The bylaws state that a nurse must be on the MCBOH. This was not always the case.  In the early 1980s, Mel Callan (a long term member of GVNA) was on the BOH as a citizen.  She was upset to find out that the bylaws did not require a nurse to be on the MCBOH. She got the bylaws changed and nursing has been represented ever since then.  Presently the MCBOH meets the second Wednesday of each month from 4-6 pm.
