Legislative Reception Recap

Thank you to everyone who attended the 41st legislative reception on February 20th. The event was very well attended despite the winter weather! To begin the evening, Dr. Marilyn Dollinger presented a legislative update. Heidi Loomis, RN, the program coordinator of the Nurse Family Partnership, gave an overview of the organization and the meaningful work that is being done in Monroe County to help improve outcomes for mothers and their babies. Finally, twelve local legislators engaged with the audience about topics concerning nursing, nursing practice, and nursing education. This event continues to be an important, positive networking opportunity for the nursing community. Thank you again to everyone who attended and participated.
